Bonnie “Prince” Billy – I see a darkness (I see a darkness,1999,Palace)

La primera vez que escuché esta canción fué en el disco de Johnny Cash, American III, hoy he escuchado la “original” del grupo Bonnie “Prince” Billy, detras de este grupo está Will Oldham el cual tiene distintos discos con distitas “formaciones” o mas bien con distintos sobrenombres o alias o como quieras decirlo: Palace Music, Palace Brothers, Palace Songs, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, y el propio: Will Oldham.

Will Oldham nació el 24 de diciembre de 1970 en  Louisville, Kentucky.

Su musica ha sido etiquetada dentro del folk, punk, country y rock indie. Al musico, que no le gustan las entrevistas tampoco le gustan las etiquetas y ha dicho: I don’t think it’s roots music, though it’s definitely influenced by Western popular music.
