Amy no pudo asistir a la ceremonia debido a que Estados Unidos le negó el visado, que posteriormente le concendió pero parece que demasiado tarde. La artista, de 24 años, actuó vía satélite desde Londres en la gala e interpretó dos de sus canciones mas famosas.
La artista se crió en los suburbios de Southgate, al Norte de Londres y ha aparecido en las medios de comunicacion britanicos en los ultimos meses protagonizando escandalos relacionados con el consumo de drogas, actualmente se encuentra en un centro de desintoxicación y su marido esta en la carcel.
